Hector runs the Oriental Medicine Clinic at Casa Marianella for shelter residents and members of the immigrant community at-large. He provides acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional support.
Hector also served as Program Facilitator for the healthy marriage program to foster the acquisition of healthy communication and relationship skills for low income, primarily Latino couples. Before that, he spent seven years in the hospitality field. He has studied and lived in three countries (Colombia, Germany and the U.S.). Kuhn Naranjo earned a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs), a Diploma in Acupuncture and a Certificate in Homeopathy.
Before entering the medical field, he earned a Diploma in Hotel Management and a Certificate in Hotel Administration. He is a Master Practitioner of Oriental Medicine, Certified in Homeopathy, licensed Acupuncturist and Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed by the State of Texas in Acupuncture.
